What comes to your mind when someone says ‘Indian Tourism’? For many Indians, Indian Tourism is all about those prominent places - Taj Mahal, Manali, Munnar, Leh Ladakh, etc. The list that usually shows up when you google Indian Tourism. However, India is beyond this cliche list.


Our nation is a bundle of various exciting and undiscovered places. They are far away from the hectic human life. Very few travellers have them on their radar. But once found, they fill our hearts with tranquillity.


We bring to you a series of Unchartered Destinations that you could use when you step out in the post COVID world. For the starters, here are some of the uncharted places that you must visit while you are alive!


Supkhar, Kanha National Park

Situated in the very core area of the park, not a lot of visitors are allowed to enjoy its beauty. What’s beautiful about the place is its ancient guest house. The guest house was built by the Britishers, and it continues to be intact! The guest house is situated amidst the dense forest. You would be able to sight deer if you are a morning person. Wild animals like Tiger often pass by the main road. Sounds scary, doesn’t it? However, there are forest guards who go out and parol day and night to ensure everything is peaceful.


Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh

A land that surrounds tribal groups and a soothing climate, Ziro is the ‘Go-to place’ for anyone who wants to seek peace! Famous for its pine hills, it is home to the Apa Tribe.

Ziro has a plethora of places that will make you wanna live there for a lifetime. Kile Pakho is a very famous viewpoint that offers the view of the snow-laden Himalaya. Ziro is famous for paddy cultivation. It offers a serene view and the fields are surrounded by bamboo and pine trees. Ziro is also for its bamboo items.


Hemis, Jammu and Kashmir

With a total population of just 313, Hemis is a village in the district of Leh. It is 40 km away from Leh and is well known for its monastery. The monastery was established by King Sengge Namgyal in 1672. Hemis has a very different culture and the one that needs to be explored by any traveller. Hemis National Park is situated near Hemis and is famous for its snow leopards. Hemis National Park has the highest density of Snow Leopards in any part of the world. It is also known for the Tibetian Wolf. The Hemis is surrounded by Zaskar Range and Indus River.



There’s no doubt that India is full of wonders. The above-mentioned places do not fill up the long list. There are so many places which have to be chartered on every traveller’s map. Stay tuned for more such enthralling places!
