Today, I will be sharing the story of Hardik, the owner of Gaura Saboroso, Vellore. Located next to AJ Fitness, this place is owned by a VITian. It is really commendable to start a restaurant in your college days, and Hardik has done just that. In a conversation with Hardik, when I asked him what was the inspiration behind Gaura Sabroso, he said, “North Indian food is hardly found in Vellore. There may exist a couple of restaurants, but I thought they lack something or the other, be it variety in dishes or the proper north Indian taste. Also, most of the students of VIT missed many of the special items of the north and were not satisfied with their quality. Moreover, every one of us missed Ghar ka Khaana the most. Taking all this into account, I thought Gaura Sabroso would be best to open in Vellore.”
And that’s a great idea. All of us long for authentic North Indian food in Vellore, but now, Gaura Sabroso has got you covered. Talking about the challenges he faced, he mentioned the communication problem, capital, hectic schedule, strict rules, in-time issues etc. However, despite the odds and 26 credits in his bags, he finally managed to open his restaurant in his third year of college, which is itself a big achievement.
If you are missing North Indian Food and want to try something new, Gaura Sabroso is the place that you can try. This place serves the best Chole Bhature in Vellore. And the other items on the menu such as Bubble Tea, Churros, Malai Chap, Rajma Chawal etc. are good too.
