Photo Editing Softwares

Whether you are a professional photographer or a person who just uses their smartphone camera to click pictures, you find a need to digitally optimize your pictures and make them look more appealing.

The first software which comes to everyone's mind is Adobe Photoshop. A lot of professional editors and artists use photoshop as their go-to software which gives it some claim to be known as the best software in this area.

While photoshop is a good software to start your professional career with, it does have its negatives. The first being the subscription-based service that Adobe offers. The cost for Adobe’s creative cloud for an individual runs close to Rs. 4000 a month which a lot of people simply can’t afford. So the next question you need to ask is whether Photoshop is the right choice for you or are there other software's which offer almost the same features at a much lower price or completely free of cost.

Here are a few alternatives that you can use:

Affinity Photo 1.8

The software gives a head-on competition to photoshop and offers the services at a one time cost of Rs. 4000 thereby being a much better option. It has a good user interface and has all the necessary tools required to create professional-level photos.

Luminar 4

Luminar 4 is a relatively new software but it is already being recognized in the market as it gives the user an option to organize their photos and edit them at the same time. Luminar 4 comes with the regular Luminar and a plug-in which can be used along with other softwares such as Photoshop giving you the extra edge.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020

This software is cheaper and is a good platform for amateurs to start editing. For professional use, many find the software to be quite dated. There are much better alternatives to this software but if you want to experience the Adobe interface and want a cheap option as well, this is a good place, to begin with.

As you can see there are a lot of alternatives that are very cheap and offer the same services that photoshop does. But one major advantage that Photoshop offers is versatility. Photoshop is also widely used by designers and artists. The subscription that Adobe offers come with other tools such as Lightroom which is a much more powerful alternative to edit photos. So in the end, if money isn’t a problem for you, I would recommend Adobe over any other software.
