NBA playoffs coming to an end with 4 teams remaining

The NBA National Basketball Association came a long way since it restarted at the end of July in the Disney World bubble in Orlando. 22 teams continued playing in the bubble and soon the playoffs were followed after. Now, towards the ending season, there are four teams remaining: Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Denver Nuggets and, Boston Celtics. Miami Heat and Boston Celtics are competing in the Eastern Conference Playoffs while Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets competing Playoffs in the Western Conference.

While Milwaukee Bucks star, Giannis Antetokounmpo won the 2020 NBA MVP Award, the Bucks did not qualify the Eastern Conference Finals. The playoffs had come to a halt in August-end since Milwaukee Bucks did not make it to the court to play against Orlando Magic, showing their frustration with the police shooting Jacob Blake in Wisconsin and other several acts of racial injustice. The players stood up against the occurrences of social injustice that had been proceeding over the entire season.

This NBA season saw a rising rookie from Miami Heat Tyler Herro who is only 20 years of age as he broke the record of highest 37- point’s career high score for a rookie in the Playoffs off the bench. Many analysts also believe that he can join the Elite List of NBA All-Stars soon. His contribution has led the team to 3-2 in the Eastern Conference finals.

LeBron James, age 35 in his 17th NBA season still seems inevitable. Although, he led Lakers to the NBA finals, ninth time in his 10 seasons he says,

"One step closer to the goal, job not done"

Anthony Davis who has greatly contributed to the Lakers wins these playoffs is reaching the NBA finals for the first time in his career. The Lakers will certainly need Davis to play his best if they want to reach the mountaintop. He entered Game 5 with a questionable tag due to an ankle sprain in Game 4. He appeared to have tweaked his ankle again on Saturday, but should be fine when the Lakers take the floor again for Game 1 of The Finals.

After the Boston Celtics walked into the locker room at halftime of Game 5 of the NBA's Eastern Conference finals against the Miami Heat, having produced a second consecutive lackluster first half in a series they trailed 3-1, they knew something had to change. Now, the Celtics have 2 wins and Heat lead with 3. The next match will decide the Eastern Conference Champions and will face the Lakers in the NBA Finals 2020.
