India’s first Girls’ Residential Football Academy - RFC Girls Football Academy

On 17th August 2020, the Rebels FC football academy launched the first ever residential football academy for girls. The academy is located in the lush-green campus at New Age World School, Yelahanka, Bengaluru. It will be open to 14-22 year old girls, belonging to all socio-economic background. It not only aims to provide international football training experience but also provide academic development to many passionate female footballers. Furthermore, the academy has collaboration with firms such as Spotik India, Inventive Sports, Onside Sports and Ullanaat Sports Management which provides broad spectrum exposure to professional leagues and placement opportunities to the young and talented players.



Speaking about the infrastructure, it will contain an International level football field and other amenities such as gym, training pitch and a swimming pool for training the girls. The training faculty will include a highly qualified technical team honoured with AFC and UEFA coaching license led by the Technical Director, Mr. Ajit Braich. To ameliorate, a team consisting of professional players, nutritionists, counsellors and mentors will be present on a year-round basis. Moreover, the boarding students will have access to nutritious menu, study areas, libraries and comfortable accommodations which will be under the surveillance of dutiful wardens.


The academy also provides various academic courses with the help of reputed institutes. Keeping the age of the players in mind, they offer diverse syllabus ranging from CBSE, ICSE and SSLC up to high school and other college level streams such as arts, science or commerce and sports management programmes. The curriculum is set such that the female footballers get sufficient time to train and take part in various domestic and international matches.



“With FIFA U -17 Women’s World Cup being hosted in India in 2021 and also the progress that our women’s national team is making, we at RFC Football Academy are delighted to launch India’s first full-fledged girls’ residential football academy. We believe the residential academy will help female athletes who aspire to become professional footballers. Mr. Preetham Chandra has played a pivotal role in establishing the academy. His experience in running one of the biggest residential projects for the male counterparts has helped him in formulating a technical team who are efficient and diligent with top-level managerial skills. His aim is to provide the female footballers with a platform where they can emerge as a self-reliant players who are not academically challenged. He wants the academy to become the premier football training destination that inspires a lot of young girls to take up sports as a career without getting their educational opportunities sacrificed.

This club promises bright future for the female players. They are trying their best strategies and well-planned curriculum for the holistic development of the female players.
